Correspondence Uncover Jeffrey Epstein and Steve Bannon Ties

Bannon served as the former president's closest strategists before resigning from the administration in 2017

In late 2018, Steve Bannon, formerly a top aide to Donald Trump, was in the UK preparing for a speech at the prestigious Oxford Union.

The speech was disrupted by numerous demonstrators, and Bannon, scheduled to board a flight that night, told Jeffrey Epstein in an email: "Protesters delayed speech I doubt I can catch the plane we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein replied: "There. Is a Gulf Air departing at 950 with a layover in Bahrain". Bannon answered: "You are an amazing helper".

These messages were published on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 documents from the records of Epstein, the deceased financier convicted of sex crimes.

The release by the House oversight committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's name is withheld. Media outlets managed to establish his identity by matching the timeline, occurrences, and places referenced.

For instance, Epstein talks about chartering a plane from the UK for the redacted user in the chat, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon participated in the Edinburgh conference on November 14, and gave the talk at the Oxford two days later.

Bannon, who is not accused of any wrongdoing, did not reply on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon served as the president's key aides in the run up to the presidential election and in the early days of his first administration, but stepped down from the White House in August 2017.

He has acknowledged he was producing a documentary about Epstein before his passing and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show recently, he said: "We're going to release the series, the five-part series, in the coming year - early next year."

But the recently disclosed materials suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein extended than documenting his life, with the convicted paedophile at times appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the exchange in which Epstein seemed to arranged a charter jet for Bannon, Epstein remarked: "how does it feel to have the most highly paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r quite capable asst", to which Epstein responded "Massages. Excluded".

Discussing a trip to "AD" in a separate text, Epstein assured Bannon: "I'll make sure you're well looked after."

British Affairs Discussed in Exchanges

The released messages also reveal Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in that year.

On the day of his speech at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this day with Nigel, Boris and Rees Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a reference to Theresa May, the struggling UK prime minister at the period, he continued: "The guys are trying to move on. May today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "I think staying as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow-up."

Shortly after, Epstein asked: "Can Theresa may survive". Bannon answered: "I don't see how however the guys over here have little courage" and added "Johnson ; Michael Gove; Rees Mogg; David Davis - someone has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding multiple attempts of no confidence in late 2018.

A representative for the political party informed the BBC: "Farage has never been in a meeting with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest that encounter occurred.

The Congress will vote soon on whether the justice department should make public all its files concerning its probe into Epstein, who passed away in jail in that year.

Attention in Epstein's associations with powerful figures was renewed this week after the publication of over 20,000 documents from his estate.

A portion of those referenced the former president, who has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. The leader was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the early 2000s, two years prior to Epstein was first arrested.
